In this steadily gentle and transcending movie an intricate affair forcibly releases two women from both their lifestyle ruts and the emotional handcuffs imposed by the expectations of partners and society.
Un-deniably attracted to each other, college student Eve auditions as the main character in married professor Renee’s play.
The play provides a cover under which their intimacy develops and their suppressed emotional and creative selves are intertwined and unleashed.
Amid the confusion and insecurity of the affair their previous lives, careers, and relationships disintegrate, and Eve’s ex, Erin, refuses to let go.
By choosing the course of emotional release, they must now confront the consequence of their actions and may have to sacrifice their bond in order to survive the catastrophic fallout.
