Set in L.A. with the sexy feel of Melrose Place, Latter Days makes a concerted effort to address and reconcile the insurmountable conflict between the need for individual choice and the constraints applied by conventional religious precepts.
Christian is a gorgeously sexy, good-time boy whose vacuous approach to life is put under the spotlight when he takes up the bet to bed his Missionary Man, Aaron. Fresh from Utah, Aaron moves into Christian’s apartment block with three other missionaries intent on converting the heathens of L.A. Their attraction is immediate, obvious and mutual, but pious and innocent Aaron battles with his emotions, duties and religious baggage.
When discovered kissing Christian, Aaron is packed off home in humiliation. Excommunicated by the church, rejected by his family, and aware of Christian’s fickleness, Aaron is driven to dramatic action.
