It's gorgeous, spoiled Jacob's birthday party. During the festivities he drags his gentle and funny lover, Jørgen, into the closet and proposes to him. Before close family and flamboyant friends Jørgen accepts.
But, just when things couldn't be more perfect, a congratulatory kiss by Jørgen's “sister-in-law” unleashes a seething and uncontrollable mutual attraction between Caroline and Jacob. Despite valiant attempts at stemming it, the attraction is too strong not to be indulged. Events, emotions and recriminations spiral out of control.
This funny, yet poignant, film realistically presents the awkward questions and pitches gender attraction against the magnetism of personality. With its carefully sketched and delightful characters, Shake It All About is a sensitive glimpse into the classy professionals of Denmark's ultra-liberated society.
