LOS ANGELES — Rumours exploded across the Net this week that pop star turned train wreck Britney Spears is pregnant again. According to a report by In Touch Weekly, the baby's father is music producer J.R. Rotem. On Wednesday morning, however, the Spears camp lashed out against the rumors, denying she is knocked up.
In a new cover story, gossip magazine In Touch Weekly reports Britney Spears told 'close friends' by e-mail on November 14th that she was pregnant. The article states she believes the father is J.R. Rotem, whom she's been linked to sporadically since her separation from former husband Kevin Federline. In Touch says Rotem confirmed the pregnancy.
The In Touch story claims Spears e-mailed a copy of an ultrasound to her friends and told them she was four weeks pregnant with Rotem's child. The magazine states Rotem backed up the story, saying "It's true" when asked if Spears was pregnant and he was the father.
This Wednesday afternoon, however, E! Online reports Britney Spears' camp is lashing out against the rumours she is expecting. E! News anchor Ryan Seacrest received a text message this morning from Spears pal Sam Lufti denying she is pregnant. Lufti called the In Touch story "B.S." and said "Don't know who made it up. J.R. doesn't even know what's up. It's fake. Completely fake." Sources close to Spears, according to MSNBC.com, also say the singer had liposuction two weeks ago and would not have been allowed to undergo the procedure had she been pregnant.
Spears has been plagued by rumours and unending media scrutiny over her battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody of their two children. Last week, Spears came under fire yet again after a rumour leaked she was trying to adopt Chinese twins. Spears' representatives claim that rumour is also a fake. – Gay Link Content
