CT Pride Annual General Meeting 2006

CAPE TOWN — After four months of hibernation – it is time to get back on track for Pride 2007. We want to tell you what's been happening since the Parade!
A debrief was held to discuss which events worked well and which did not work. Some of the Board members have also met to discuss a number of things – including the constitution of Pride, the Board structure, the future of Cape Town Pride Festival, and Pride 2007 – which is just around the corner.
The good news is that the financial figures are with the auditors and we'll have them ready for the AGM. Our thanks to Rob Brickhill for recording all the transactions and keeping track of the budget. Pride 2006 has made a healthy profit that will enable a sustainable future. This also means we can make another contribution to the Pride Shelter Trust this year – on top of the R50,000 from 2005.
The date for the AGM is 19, AUGUST 2006 at 14:00, Off-Broadway (alongside On Broadway in Short Market Street.) We will review Pride 2006 – the financial information and what will happen with Pride's structure. Since the meeting is on a Saturday, we hope it is more accessible for everyone. See you there!
