CAPE TOWN — Yes, Pride is just around the corner and we have organised eleven wonderful gay days for your entertainment, education and enjoyment. The Pride Festival runs from the 15th February to the 25th February 2007, and so far we have confirmed over twenty five events, from fun parties which are the sizzling Pride Red Party and the fabulous Street Parade & Party. Also on our billing this year are two grand balls, the best being the Pride Candy Glam Ball AKA The Pink Tie Affair.
The Divas of course will definitely have Pride of place with a swank production “Celebrate with the Goddesses of Love” which takes place this year at the prestigious ‘On Broadway’! And of course ever glam will be The Cape Town Pride Pageant.
For the arty and intellectual, lined up is the Pride book affair, “Voices of Pride” our official Pride Seminar Series as well as the Pride Photographic Exhibition.
Shop! Shop! Shop! Darlings! We have a 11 day shop-a-thon with exclusives from participating stores and restaurants around the Cape Town area…..it’s hectic!
For the sporty and fun crowd; The Pride Sports Day will be your best ticket as well as the Pride Golf Day not to forget our larney Pride Race Day themed “Mink and Manure”!
Fall in love with our Love Boat Cruise on the last Sunday of Cape Town Pride Festival!!!
All wrapped into a great eleven fabulous days culminating to the mother of all parties in the Mother City…….Thé Party of 2007 on Saturday the 24th of Feb.

One of the biggest events on the Pride calendar is the Cape Town Pride Pageant, which will be held at the very pink Woodstock Civic Hall on Saturday 10th February 2007. This event will be the ultimate kick off towards Pride Festival. Which starts off the 11 days “Carnival of Love” of the Cape Town pride Festival 2007?
You also get a chance to wear one of our 3 exquisitely designed crowns, be part of a glam show as well as be the Pride face of the pageant for 2007. Check our web site for how to enter!! It’s all there.
Pride Street Parade & Party
On Saturday the 17th of February the mother of all parades through the main streets of the city centre ending of at the traffic office in Green Point promises to make Cape Town stand still for three thrilling hours of floats, bands, costumes and of course a celebration of our Pride.
The Carnival of Love continues thereafter with the Street Party, loads of stalls, a fashion parade and entertainment ‘til dusk sets on De Waterkant Village. The Pride Red Party at various vibrant clubs and bars will round off another fun day of a fortnight of glitz, liming and fabulousness.
The best way to do the Pride Parade is from the deck of your own float with all your friends. Make the Street Parade your own by entering interesting, creative and colourful floats with your friends, organisations or business into the procession? Dress up with a group of friends and join in the fun, you even get a chance to win a host of great prizes and most of all be NOTED!
Become a Pride Committee Member
Pride is run by a committed core of energetic and dedicated volunteers. With over 25 events stretching over 11 days, make yourself count and be heard as well as proud of whom you are. Join us and be part of a great team, no special skills required, just be FAB. What you get??? VIP treatment, entries to loads of parties free! (Your friends have to pay!)
